Jednotlivé DUMy (prezentace) v této sadě popíší postupně tematické oblasti, které jsou probírány v předmětu Anglický jazyk na naší SŠ. Konkrétně tato prezentace je zaměřena na pažbu. 2

Gun stock used to grip and control weapons and store to metal parts of weapons. Gun stock is made from wood. Gun stock consists from three parts: a forearm, a grip of butt, a buttgun-stock. 6
The parts of gun-stock: forearm, forend tip, grip of butt, buttgun-stock, comb, comb of gun-stock, butt plate, cheekpiece, pistol grip. 7
We recognize these types of gun-stock: an English gun-stock, a French gun-stock, a German gun-stock, an American gun-stock, a Monte Carlo gun-stock. 8
Gun stocks of hunting weapons are made of walnut. Gun stocks of cheaper weapons are made of beech wood. Gun stocks from polymeric materials are used only rarely. 9
Finishing butt is French polish. French polish is very expensive and so is replaced by colorless or transparent nitro lacquer based on synthetic resins. Finishing the gun stock, according to gloss divided on matte, semi-gloss and high gloss. 10
The gun-stock dimension is determined by : the lenght gun-stock, the butt drop at heel, the avoiding gun-stock. Types of gun-stock: a short gun-stock – 34 to 36 cm, a middle gun-stock – 36 to 38 cm, a lenght gun-stock – 38 to 40 cm. 11
The most used wood for gun-stock are : a walnut tree and black walnut – perfectly seas and rubs, a beech - well machined, but poorly resistant pests. 12
Surface treatment of wood: staining, bleaching, reviving structures, coating, decorating pores bronze, treatment polychromy, gilding and silvering. 13
Mechanical surface treatment of wood: planing, filing, scraping, scratching, grinding. 14
Staining the wood darkens the shade. Staining highlights the texture of wood. Wood discards: accumulation of dye on the surface of wood resources, saving microparticles dyes between wood fibers, colouring wood fibers. 15
