Passive – Other Tenses Věty v trpném rodě mohou být zdvořiljší než v činném: You made a mistake. A mistake was made. Převádíme-li větu do rodu trpného, předmět věty činné je podmětem věty v trpném rodě. They have written the letter. The letter has been written.
