1 Going to, be about to, will, present continuous - tvar a použití Autorem materiálu a všech jeho částí, není-li uvedeno jinak, je Romana Petrová. 2 going to - tvar We´re (are) going to watch TV this evening. Are we going to watch TV this evening? - Yes, we are. - No, we aren‘t. We aren‘t (are not) going to watch TV this evening.

3 going to - tvar Tvar going to se nemění, časuje se jen sloveso to be, které je před going to. She´s (is) going to send the answer. We´re (are) going to listen to music. Významové sloveso se nemění, ale zůstává ve svém základním tvaru. Why is she going to cook the dinner? Where are you going to stay?

4 going to - použití záměr, odhodlání, plán – tedy takovou budoucnost, která je závislá od vůle, úmyslu podmětu. Do češtiny překládáme - „chci, hodlám, zamýšlím, mám v plánu, chystám se něco udělat”. I´m going to go shopping this afternoon.

5 going to - použití předpověď - na základě daných okolností (např. z toho, co vidíme před sebou) nebo znalostí dané věci, osoby, situace apod. It´s going to rain, look at those clouds. Thomas is going to win this time. - I know, he´s got a better chance.

6 to be about to / to be on the point of Pro vyjádření záměru, odhodlání a plánů můžeme také použít vazby: - to be about to + významové sloveso - to be on the point of + ingový tvar We are going to watch TV this evening. We are about to watch TV this evening. We are on the point of watching TV this evening.

8 will - tvar I´ll (will) come tomorrow. Will you come tomorrow? -Yes, I will. -No, I won´t. I won´t come tomorrow. Tvar slovesa will se nemění, rovněž významové sloveso zůstává ve všech osobách stejné.

9 will - použití Budoucí děj, který jsme se rozhodli vykonat v okamžiku promluvy (momentální rozhodnutí), jako bezprostřední reakci na určitý podnět. I can’t do this homework. - I’ll help you then. It will be fun to give her this card. – Yeah, I´ll buy it.

10 will - použití Předpověď založenou na úsudku, zkušenostech, odhadu, nikoliv však (na rozdíl od be going to) na konkrétních okolnostech patrných v tuto chvíli. You won’t pass the test. (Usuzuji z toho, že jsi se neučil.) Sliby, hrozby a jiné reakce na vzniklou situaci. I’ll never do it again.

11 present continuous – tvar a použití I am leaving on Monday. (Odjíždím/odjedu v pondělí.) Can you come and see me tonight? - I can't, I'm playing tennis with Sally. Přítomný průběhový čas používáme také pro vyjádření budoucího děje, který se odehraje v blízké budoucnosti, pro předem domluvené a naplánované děje.

13 Will, be going to, present tense forms Sally: Next month we …1……(go) to Arizona. We ……2………(visit) some friends of Andrew’s. I´m sure it.…3…..(be) a lovely break for us, and the kids are looking forward to it. We ….4…..(take) them to a trip to the Grand Canyon. That is going to be a wonderful experience. The kids ……5..…(do) some whitewater rafting, too. Their school term ……6….(end) on the 6 th, and we ……7….(fly) out on the 7 th. I can’t wait. Jane: What …….. you……8.….(do) at the weekend? It’s my birthday and I ……9..….. (invite) a lot of friends. …………you ……10……(come)? Sally: Yes, I ……11.….. Peter ……12……(go) to the rugby international – England against France in Exeter. The match …….13………. (finish) at about half past four, and the coach ……14…….(leave) Exeter at five. I hope he ……15…. (be) at home before six. Is half past eight all right? Jane: Of course.

We´re going to take them to a trip to the Grand Canyon. That is going to be a wonderful experience. The kids´re going to do some whitewater rafting, too. Their school term ends on the 6 th, and we´re flying out on the 7 th. I can’t wait. Jane: What are you doing at the weekend? It’s my birthday and I ´m going to invite a lot of friends. Will you come? Sally: Yes, I will. Peter is going to the rugby international – England against France in Exeter. The match finishes at about half past four, and the coach leaves Exeter at five. I hope he will be at home before six. Is half past eight all right? Jane: Of course.
