Each member nation during ratification decides, if, when and in which extent wants to implement particular NATO standardization agreement (STANAG). National commitment voluntary commitment becomes binding toward NATO allies and should be fulfiled in expected term and extent. National STANAG ratification (STANAG adoption for Partners) the expression of the standpoint to the contents of STANAG by way of the form of STANAG Ratification Response National STANAG implementation incorporation of the STANAG contents requirements into suitable national documents (e,g.: legal regulations, civil standards, national defence standards, internal normative documents, …) and also simultaneous fulfilment of this requirement. 5

Transfer of NATO standards to civilian stand body, if it helps to keep standards updated and military interests protected. Operational standardization is preferred, the materiel one is mainly a national responsibility.
