The existence of an original Romanesque church in a former medieval market village was proved in 1235.
Large changes were made since the end of the 17th century to the third quarter of the 18th century (a new tower was built, the body of the church was made wider and the church was vaulted).
There was a fire in 1532 and the church was rebuilt in a Renaissance Style.
There was a large and expensive reconstruction in 2009. Fortunately, the original appearance was fully respected.
A Romanesque apse used to be a part of the west front of the church A Romanesque apse used to be a part of the west front of the church. Nobody knows when the apse was demolished.
