2 Prague is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. It is the fourteenth largest city in Europe. Prague is situated in the north-west of the country on the Vltava river. There are about 1.3 milion inhabitants.

3 Prague Castle is the most important castle in the Czech republic. It was the seat of princes, kings and since 1918 it has been the seat of Czech President. Part of castle´s complex is St. Veit´s Cathedral, the place of king´s coronation.

4 The Charles Bridge is the oldest standing bridge across the Vltava river and the second oldest extant bridge in the Czech Republic. There are thirty-one sculptures on the bridge. One of them, the statue of Jan Nepomuk is said to have a magical power – when you touch it, your dreams will come true. Across the bridge leads the historical royal route.

5 THE CLEMENTINUM The Clementinum is a historic complex of buildings, which is now hosted by the National Library. Clementinum is an important metrological station, the metrological observation here began in the half of the 18th century and they have been systematically recorded since 1775, which is the longest continuous observation in the world. Many students come to study to the library in Clementinum.

6 Petřín is a hill in the centre of Prague. It is 327 m high. The hill is covered with parks and it is a ffavourite recreational area for the inhabitants of Prague. Atop the hill stands the Petřín Lookout Tower.

8 The Dancing house, also called Ginger and Fred was built in 1996. It got its name after its shape, which looks like a famous dancing pair Fred Astair and Ginger Rogers. The building of the house caused a passionate public discussion about Prague architecture. There are offices and a luxurious café and restaurant in the building.
