Obsahuje základní přehled o životě a díle vybrané spisovatelky. Materiál je doplněn o video zachycující rozhovor s autorkou, na které navazuje úkol vhodný k vypracování ve výuce i jako domácí práce. Materiál je primárně zaměřen na dva poslední ročníky gymnázia, i přesto se dá využít i v nižších ročnících osmiletého i čtyřletého studia vcelku nebo jeho jednotlivé části. 5 The Harry Potter series she started writing Harry Potter on a delayed train from Manchester to London King’s Cross. within 5 years, she outlined the plots of all the books. her first Harry Potter had been refused by publishers until it was eventually published by Bloomsbury Children’s Books in June 1997. published under the name J.K. Rowling – K added after her grandmother, the publisher: woman’s name unattractive for young boys one of the most successful children’s books ever: loved by millions of people all over the world(not just children), made into a film as well

6 Harry Potter: main plot Harry Potter is an orphan raised by his uncle and aunt he believes that his parents died in a car accident at the age of 11, he learns that his parents were wizards and they were killed by an evil wizard Voldemort studies at Hogwarts: magic school for wizards and witches the books depict how he makes friends, learns magic and faces danger Harry Potter + the rest of good wizard world against Voldemort theme: DEATH: death of Harry Potter’s parents, Voldemort obsession with immortality etc.
