Anotace: Metodické pokyny:
Pracovní list slouží k vysvětlení (zopakování) použití modálního slovesa Will k vyjádření budoucnosti, jeho procvičení a upevnění správného užití. Metodické pokyny: Nejprve jsou žáci seznámeni s typickým užitím tohoto modálního slovesa a jeho gramatickou strukturou, poté mají příležitost doplnit ho do vět, v další fázi si užití upevní za pomoci překladu, na konec je zařazena hra.

We use will when we decide to do someting at the time of speaking. In other words it is not our plan, we did not decide it before the time of speaking. past present future decision I will help you with your bag. (I see that you are having difficulty to carry a havy bag.) We will go with you to the party. (Our reaction after being invited to a party we didn't know about before.)

Will for expressing future – Usage 2
We use will when we are predicting future. We cannot see any proof now of what is going to happen in the future - it is just our belief. We often use the phrase I (don't) think that... past present future I think that next summer will be hot. I don't think that Martin will come to the party. We think that Roman will win the comepetition.

Will Richard come? I don't think he will come today. What will you do? I don't know. Maybe I will kill him. I haven't decided yet, but probably I won't tell her. What do you want to drink? Beer or wine? I'll have a beer, please. We don't think they will have a baby. Where do you think they will go on holiday? I have no idea but I guess they will go somewhere hot again.

Will for expressing future – Never ending story game - Rules
- We will play in groups (about 5 people in one team). - One of you start by saying a sentence with will (e.g. I will go home now.) - Then the person sitting next to him repeats his sentence and adds one new sentence (e.g. I will go home now. And I will eat a lot of cookies.) - Then the next person and the next person and so on. - When somebody makes a mistake he or she has one penalty point and then he or she starts with a new beginning. - The person with the fewest penalty points is the winner.
