The most significant are the following:  Past simple X Present perfect: AmE often uses the past simple where BrE uses the present perfect instead: BrE: Have you found him yet? AmE: Did you find him yet?  Have X Have got: have got is typical for informal communication in BrE. AmE uses simple have instead: BrE: Have you got any money left? AmE: Do you have any money left?  Past participle of ´get´: BrE: We´ve never got to know him. AmE: We´ve never gotten to know him.  Word order: BrE: I´ve been waiting for half an hour.
