1 Před pár hodinami jsem byl na cestě sem. Earlier today I was on the way over here.

2 Zrovna jsem šel po ulici a přemýšlel, I was walking down the street thinking,

3 když jsem najednou uviděl, jak do nějakého psa vrazilo auto. when suddenly I saw a car hit a dog.

4 Praštilo to do něj pořádně The dog was hit pretty hard,

5 a on zůstal pod předním kolem, and he was stuck under the front wheel,

6 dokud ten řidič necouvnul. until the driver backed up.

7 Upřímně řečeno se zdálo, že umírá. To be honest, he seemed to be dying.

8 Jeho majitel pustil všechno, co nesl, His owner dropped everything he was carrying,

9 a chystal se ho zvednout, and was going to pick him up,

10 aby ho nepřejelo nějaké další auto. so that he wouldn't get run over by another car.

11 Akorát, že ten pes ho kousnul do ruky, Except the dog bit him on the arm,

12 až z toho zakřičel ;-) and made him scream ;-)

13 Jedna paní, co jela kolem na kole, A lady riding by on a bike,

14 navrhla, aby toho psa vzali k veterináři. suggested that they should take the dog to a vet.

15 Řidič souhlasil, že ho tam zaveze, The driver agreed to drive him there,

16 i když moc času neměl. even though he didn't have a lot of time.

17 Tak všichni nasedli do auta a odjeli. So everyone got into the car and drove off.

18 Co tě nezabije, to tě posílí. Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
