CHEQUE - a cheque book is given to a good bank client if he/she has a bank account and seems to be a good customer - a cheque is order to your bank to pay money to somebody from your account

Credit cards You can get it, if you have a bank account. It allows you to buy goods and services in shops, hotels, at railway stations without paying cash or writing a cheque.

ATM = Automated Teller Machine = Cashpoint = Cashmachine - you can check your account balance - you can withdraw money from your account in cash - you can recharge your phone credit - abroad you can obtain foreign currency

- In the past travellers used tu use them when travelling abroad - They inserted money into their bank at home and got traveller’s cheques instead - Then they went abroad

- They didn’t have to carry large sums of money on them - When they needed money, they visited a bank and the traveller’s cheques were changed into cash - Their money couldn’t have been stolen - At present we prefer using credit cards
