Henry VIII married six times because he did not like his wives. Mary put Elizabeth in the Tower because she got on badly with her. People were very unhappy when Mary died. Elizabeth became the “virgin “Queen because there was nobody to marry her. Elizabeth was very angry when Francis Drake attacked Spanish ships. The Pope had an argument with Henry VIII because he was not christened.
