2 ANOTACE Záměrem této sady výukových materiálů s názvem Technical English je ukázat žákům, kteří se v této oblasti vzdělávají, jaký byl vývoj zbraní. Jednotlivé DUMy (prezentace) v této sadě popíší postupně tematické oblasti, které jsou probírány v předmětu Anglický jazyk na naší SŠ. Konkrétně tato prezentace je zaměřena na pistole a revolvery.

Where can you use sports guns? Do you know the specification of smallbore rifles? When can you use smallbor rifles? Do you know the calibre of smallbor rifle?

5 REVOLVERS

6 Revolvers are short handguns.
A shooter could use a revolover by one hand. Revolvers are used personal defense. Requirements of revolver are following: accuracy, security, high speed of projectile.

7 The cylinder with a chamber is a characteristic for revolvers.
The chamber is rotated arround axes. The chambers are changing fluently. The rotation of chamber is based on mechanically. The muscular power of shooter is the power source.

8 Empty cartridge cases stays in the chamber.
A charge of revolver is composed of change of empty cartridges cases to new cartriges caces.

11 Pistols are designed for personal defense.
The main difference between pistols and revolvers are that pistols have got cartriges caces in a magazine. The cartrige is changed successively, the empty cartridge is exktracoring.

Convential arms and guns of mass destruction are the basic class of army guns. The common types of convential arms are stabbing guns, throwing guns and firearms.
