Josef Gočár was a Czech architect. His works mainly cubist and functionalist one of the highlights of Czech modern architecture. Highly appreciated is its share of urban concepts in some cities, especially Hradec Kralove.
He was born in Semin. In 1891 the family move to Bohdaneč. From 1892 he studied at the lower secondary in Pardubice.
