Students´Day In October 1939 a quiet demonstration took place in Prague to remind the Czechoslovak Independence Day the demonstration was violently suppressed by the police and SS units a medical student Jan Opletal was shot and killed
Students´Day on the day of his funeral – hundreds people and students demonstrated again the demonstration changed into the protest against the Naci the protest culminated on 17th November The Germans violently suppressed it again
Students´Day The Gestapo and SS units attacked student hostels arrested more than 1200 students took them to concentration camps nine leading students were executed in Ruzyně without trial
