Pressure – flasks casting
Castings is made without permanent models – as follows: Pressure casting Casting into ingot mould Centrifugal casting Continuous casting
Machine for pressure casting
Shaping block : Copping plate
1.Pressure casting In pressure casting is melted steel pressured with a great speed into two or multiple moulds system. High pressure ensures the best penetration of the melted steel into complicated forms of thin-walled moulds Melted metal is piston ejected from pressure chamber. Ejection is provided by two methods: - from hot chamber - from cold chamber
Casting from hot chamber – the chamber is submerged in melted metal. It is used for casting of zinc, lead and magnesium alloys (metals with lower melting point than steel).
Melted metal poured into cold chamber and ejected by piston into a mould. It is used for casting of copper and aluminum alloys. If hot chamber would be used the melted alloys would react with steel walls of chamber and piston.
