3 When driving you have to: check the car before driving. observe traffic rules. observe red “Stop” signs, all traffic signs and white lines and traffic lights on the road. always be in complete control of your vehicle. always indicate the change of direction. 3

5 When driving you have to: observe speed limits:  50 m per hour in the town or village  90 km per hour outside of towns  130 km per hour on motorways 5

10 Safety features In modern cars, the features of active and passive safety are used. Means of active safety prevent an accident. Means of passive safety reduce the consequences of an accident. 10
