2 Anotace : o Prezentace je určena žákům 9.tříd (příp. 8.tříd). Je určena k rozšíření znalostí (příp. k seznámení se zvyklostmi a historií) o Velké Británii. o Nejdříve se žáci dozvědí informace týkající se Guye Fawkese a událostí 5.listopadu 1605 v Londýně. o Dále se mohou naučit básničku vztahující se k této historické události. o Ve snímku 9 si zopakují klíčová slova k tématu prostřednictvím hry piškvorky (Tic-Tac-Toe) o V posledním snímku žáci překládají klíčová slova do češtiny a podle úrovně znalostí tvoří věty vztahující se k tématu. o Na závěr se snaží vytvořit příběh Guye Fawkese v angličtině. Jakou formu učitel zvolí, záleží na něm a úrovni znalostí žáků.

4 Bon Fire Night is celebrated in Britain. Guy Fawkes was a member of Roman Catholic rebels. They hated king James I. because he persecuted them. They wanted to kill him and all the members of the Parliament. Guy Fawkes

5 Gunpowder, treason and plot The rebels put gunpowder in the cellar under the Houses of Parliament to blow up the king and the other MPs. One of Guy Fawkes´ people had a friend in the Parliament and he didn´t want to kill him, so he told him not to go to the Parliament that day. The friend told it to the others and they found the gunpowder in the cellar. Guy Fawkes

6 It is celebrated on 5th November Although a man called Robert Catesby led the plot, Guy Fawkes was in charge of placing the explosives under the building. He was caught trying to lit the gunpowder on the morning of November 5th, 1605. Guy Fawkes and his friends were arrested and then executed. James I.

7 Rebels Now Guy Fawkes is remembered as a national hero. The British celebrate November 5th after it gets dark. They make big bonfires and burn effigies of Guy Fawkes, roast sausages and bake potatoes on the fire. There are also lots of firework displays which remind people of exploding gunpowder.
