7 The Houses of Parliament gothic style a residence of the kings of England from the middle of the 11 th century to 1512 a famous clock tower with BIG BEN - named after Sir Benjamin Hall - one of the ministers in the middle of the last century - very popular and stout, people called him Big Ben it is sign of B.B.C. Westminster Hall is the oldest part of the Houses of Parliament The official name of the Houses of Parliament is Palace of Westminster.

11 The Globe Theatre the Globe Theatre opened in 1997 - a replica of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre - burned down in 1613 during a performance of Shakespeare's play Henry VIII the theatre had no roof, there were no electric lights and hardly any decoration
