Places of interests  The City  The City is the oldest part of London. Today it is home for the financial district (oblast).

Tower of London William the Conquerorin 11 th century  It was built by William the Conqueror in 11 th century.  It was a royal palace before and then a prison.  Now it is a museum with crown jewels (in the Jewel House), with weapons.

Yeomen Warders  The tower is guarded by Yeomen (členy královské tělesné stráže) Warders (strážci), who still wear Tudor uniforms.  Six ravens are kept in the tower to protect the whole kingdom. Tower Bridge. several exhibitionsconcerning the history of the bridge.  There are several exhibitions in the two main towers concerning the history of the bridge.

St Paul’s Cathedral Christopher Wren17 th century  It was built by Sir Christopher Wren in the 17 th century.  It stands on the place where the Cathedral which was destroyed in the Great Fire used to stand.  It is built in the Baroque style.

Buckingham Palace Buckingham Palace  It is home of kings and queens of Great Britain.  It was built in 1703 by Duke (vévoda) of Buckingham.  The first monarch who lived there was the Queen Victoria.  Changing of the Guard  Changing of the Guard (název ceremoniálu) is a very big attraction outside the palace.  The royal family occupies the north wing of the palace.
