4 Příklady a použití Když dáváme do věty dvě slovesa za sebou, druhé sloveso je obvykle: a)buď v infinitivu s to b)nebo v -ing tvaru Sloveso + infinitiv s „to“ My friend wants to go the cinema. = Můj kamarád chce jít do kina. My brother decided to become a doctor. = Můj bratr se rozhodl stát lékařem. I promised to wait for him at the entrance. = Slíbil jsem počkat na něj u vchodu. Sloveso + ing I can't stand seeing blood. = Nemůžu vystát pohled na krev. He doesn't mind studying hard. = Nevadí mu pilně studovat. He avoids going out these days. = V tyto dny se vyhýbá chození ven.

7 Další příklady a použití Tom: Do you want to play tennis? Jane: No, not really, I hate tennis.  Jane can't stand playing tennis. Tom: Why don't we go for a swim? Jane: Good idea! Let's go to the swimming pool.  Tom suggested going swimming.  Jane likes going swimming.  They decided to go swimming.
