3 Glorious Revolution (1688)
James`s second wife gave him a son – the English became desperate Parliamentary leaders secretly gathered and offered the crown of England to William of Orange and Mary – they accepted Rebellion against James II – escaped to France ( Luis XIV) William and Mary became king and queen / not by right (James had a son) – it was a revolution without fighting – a “glorious revolution” PD,

4 The Bill of Rights (1689) William and Mary had to agree to the “Bill of Rights” before they were crowned It was a document that made sure that the monarch could no longer rule without or against the Parliament England became a “constitutional monarchy” Since that time there have been no revolutionary changes in Britain PD,

5 A few amendments of the Bill of Rights
