3 General info One of the most common tasks in the Part 1 of Writing Maturita exam You can be asked to write about a number of things: Describe your last holiday Plan a visit for your English speaking friend Describe your new place Tell about what’s new in your life Describe your new boyfriend / girlfriend etc. write 120 – 150 words cover all the points choose appropriate register, grammar, vocabulary use linking words organize the text logically

6 Layout of the text In an informal letter / , it is not required to keep paragraphs but I strongly recommend that you do. The text looks more organized. You won’t get lost in it. It’s good to use one paragraph for one point / idea.

7 Zadání č. 1 Váš anglicky mluvící kamarád/ka přijíždí pozítří na návštěvu. Napište mu v rozsahu 120 – 150 slov, ve kterém: se zeptáte, jak se připravuje na cestu, a připomenete mu, aby nezapomněl na důležitý balíček ho/jí požádáte, aby vám z USA přivezl nějakou knihu, a omluvíte se, že ho s tím obtěžujete, stručně popíšete, jaký máte plán na první den jeho návštěvy v České republice, mu/jí připomenete, kde se máte na letišti setkat, a navrhnete, co má dělat v případě, že se náhodou opozdíte.
