regular (the majority of adjectives) irregular Try to name some regular adjectives happy, nice, warm, high Try to name some irregular adjectives (two most important are similar to their Czech opposites) good, bad

3 COMPARATIVES – short adjectives
REGULAR ADJECTIVES - we add –er to the adjective – high → higher IRREGULAR ADJECTIVES - we have to learn the form of the adjectives - the most frequent are: good, bad, far good → better bad → worse far → further

4 COMPARATIVES – adjectives with more syllables
we make the comparative differently beautiful → beautifuler with longer adjectives we make comparative by adding MORE before the adjective beautiful → more beautiful

5 SUPERLATIVES – short adjectives
REGULAR ADJECTIVES - we add THE before the adjective and –est to the adjective – high → the highest IRREGULAR ADJECTIVES - we have to learn the form of the adjectives - the most frequent are: good, bad, far good → the best bad → the worst far → the furthest

6 SUPERLATIVES – adjectives with more syllables
we make the superlative differently beautiful → the beautifulest with longer adjectives we make superlative by adding THE MOST before the adjective beautiful → the most beautiful

10 METODICKÝ NÁVOD Materiál slouží k výkladu a procvičení stupňování přídavných jmen. Materiál žáky nejprve seznamuje se 2 skupinami př. jmen v anglickém jazyce, postupně je pak vyložena tvorba 2. a poté 3. stupně př. jmen. Následuje přehled v tabulce. Osmý a devátý slide slouží k procvičení – 8.: žáci řeknou 2. stupeň daných př. jmen (odvodí dle obrázku), 9.: žáci řeknou 2. a 3. stupeň daného př. jména (opět odvodí dle obrázku), po pokliku na obrázek se objeví správné řešení.
