American writer and journalist Many of his books considered classics of American literature Influenced by war Loved adventurous life, dangerous sports and hunting Most of his works inspired by personal experiences

His heroes are soldiers, fishermen, hunters or bullfighters Nobel Prize Literature winner in 1954 Author of 7 novels, 6 short stories and 2 non-fiction works He introduced the term „lost generation“ to mean the people who experienced war and never completely recovered from the traumatic experience

10 Hemingway´s work The Dangerous Summer, – inspired by the bravery and excitement of the encounter between man and animal The Old Man and the Sea, 1952 – a deeply symbolic novel based on a personal experience with catching marlins in Cuba, describing an epic struggle between an old fisherman and the greatest catch in his life
