3 Basic information The centre of Pilsen region The 4th largest city in the Czech Republic Important industrial, commercial, administrative, cultural and religious (bishopric) centre 167,000 inhabitants, 125 sq km Consists of several historical and urban districts e.g. Bory, Doubravka, Bolevec, Skvrňany, Košutka, Slovany Some villages in the outskirts have been connected to the city in the recent years e.g. Křimice, Radčice, Lhota, Litice etc.

4 Location In the centre of the Pilsen region basin In the Pilsen basin created by rivers Úhlava, Úslava, Mže and Radbuza that confluence confluence in the city centre. The river resulting from the confluence is called Berounka. routes Crossroad of main routes (Highway D5, main roads and railway to the north, south, Prague, Germany).
