USA – location and borders, climate, geography LOCATION AND BORDERS The USA covers more than 9,5 million square kilometers. It is the fourth largest state (we think area – rozloha) in the world after Russia, Canada and China. The USA borders on (sousedí s) two states: Canada in the north and Mexico in the south. In the west there is the Pacific Ocean and in the east border on the Atlantic Ocean. The United States of America is federal state with 50 states, 48 are together and Alaska with Hawaii are situated out of them. Alaska is on the northern part of the continent and it borders on Canada and Russia. The Hawaii is 3000 km southwest of California.

There are too differences between east cost with more rainy weather and west coast with dry and hot weather and soft winters.
