4 What do you know about the geography of Canada? a seashore on the Arctic Ocean - the longest coastline in the south an 8,892km boundary with the USA in the north ‑ west Alaska across the Arctic Ocean is Russia 80% of the population 150km from the US ‑ Canadian border the southern part of the country covered in forest the northern part mostly tundra mountain ranges: Torngats, Appalachians and Lau­rentians in the east; the Rocky Mountains, the Coastal and Mackenzie Mountains and the Melville Hills in the west coast the highest mountain is Mt Logan (RM in the Yukon; 6,050 m)
