This means that the official head of the state is the monarch, but his or her powers are limited by the constitution (ústava). Parliament the House of Commons the House of Lords Parliament is the supreme (nejvyšší) law-making body in the country. It consists of the House of Commons and the House of Lords. The House of Commons has 650, they are elected and paid Members of Parliament.

Main exports Main exports: machinery, chemicals, clothing, cars, lorries, jet aircraft, ships, drugs, scientific instruments, arms, books, whisky (scotch whisky).
