Materiál obsahuje základní rozdělení sportu, ustálenou frazeologie a základní fakta o Olympijských hrách. Materiál je primárně zaměřen na dva poslední ročníky gymnázia, i přesto se dá využít i v nižších ročnících osmiletého i čtyřletého studia vcelku nebo jeho jednotlivé části.
