Many people say that when Australians speak we don´t open our months. So we don´t sound like we are from Britain-we just sound strange. . Is Australia just a large desert? Most of Australia is desert.There is a small population.Most people live in cities. We do not ride kangaroos to school, or kill crocodiles to eat for lunch. VY_32_INOVACE_1.2.AJ3,4.06/Kl DIDGERIDOO A REALLY TRULY AUSSIE SOUND - didgeridoo´s birth story: once the women of a tribe in Northern Queensland were picking up wood for fire. One of the logs in the wood pile was hollow. The whole coral reef is one of the most biologically diverse ecosystems on earth,rivaled only by tropical rainforests. The reef consists of not only hard and soft corals , but it is home to many species of fish, sponges, crustaceans, molluscs,sea urchins, sea turtles, sharks, dolphins… Many of the species are unique to the reef and threatened. A list of threats include natural events (hurricanes, storms or abnormal levels of sunlight caused by climate change or overfishing, oil tankers. Farming can be another threat (pesticides and fertilisers into rivers, into seas. Mud from rivers wash out to sea and prevents light reaching the coral ( important for polyps to make food through photosynthesis).
